The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office has charged a man who opened fire on police officers, wounding one, outside of a SEPTA bus in the Wissinoming neighborhood on Thursday, 11/21. 54-year-old Walter Farrell is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault on law enforcement, and other related charges. Farrell is being held without bail. 37-year-old Officer Donald Revill was shot in the forearm after struggling with Farrell. He was treated at the hospital and released. Read More |

A Philadelphia police officer and a suspect were shot during a gun battle outside of a SEPTA bus in the Wissinoming section on Thursday morning, 11/21. It happened at 10 a.m. near the intersection of Torresdale Avenue and Howell Street. Police responded to the area for the report of a man with a gun. 10-year-old Micah 'Dew' Tennant who was shot during a high school football game at Pleasantville High School last Friday has died. The Atlantic City fifth grader was shot in the neck while sitting in the stands during the Pleasantville-Camden playoff game. He was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. Charges against 31-year-old Alvin Wyatt have been upgraded to murder.

A Philadelphia woman has been arrested and charged in the death of her adult disabled daughter last year. 63-year-old Yelena Nezhikhovskaya is charged with third-degree murder, false reporting, and drug delivery resulting in death of her daughter, 32-year-old Yulia Nezhikhovskaya. Yulia was quadriplegic. Authorities responded to their home on the 9600 block of Bustleton Avenue on December 17, 2018. Yulia was pronounced dead at the scene. 22-year-old Sean Kratz of Philadelphia was automatically sentenced to life without parole by a Bucks County judge today after prosecutors took the death penalty off the table. Dozens of car windows were shot out on Sunday evening, 11/17, on one Olney street by vandals wielding BB guns. It happened around 5:30 p.m. on the 5700 block of North Howard Street. Surveillance video shows two young people running down the street supposedly shooting at each other. They left behind a swath of shattered glass. Neighbors are not happy to now have to foot a bill costing hundreds of dollars to repair the vandalism. If you have any information contact police.
