One child is dead and two others were injured in a drive-by shooting after a high school football game in Delaware County on Friday night, 8/27. It happened just before 9 p.m. at Academy Park High School on the 300 block of Calcon Hook Road in Sharon Hill. The game was between Academy Park and Pennsbury High School (Bucks County). Pennsylvania State Police are looking for a Malvern, Chester County, man accused of sexually assaulting at least two children. Authorities believe that 31-year-old Graham Roman, who is out on parole, may have fled to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The investigation into Roman involving the abuse of a child began on August 13. It was announced on Friday, 8/27, that all participants and volunteers in the 2021 Blue Cross Broad Street Run will need to be fully vaccinated to participate in the in-person 10-mile race. Philadelphia Parks and Recreation says the vaccination requirement is based on guidance from the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. Philadelphia officials released new information in the case of the Fairmount Park Rapist on Thursday, 8/26. Using DNA phenotyping they have produced a predictive sketch of what the suspect may look like based on his DNA. The technology is called Parabon Snapsot. It uses 10s of thousands of genetic markers to determine what a might person looks like. Hair color, eye color, skin tone, face shape, etc. are combined to make the sketch.
