A number of protests in Center City aimed to disrupt the evening commute. They began as separate missions on North Broad Street before joining forces on their way into Center City. The march began on the campus of Temple University with students, faculty, and neighbors (known as Stadium Stompers) who oppose the school building an on-campus stadium. Philadelphia Police are investigating a deadly hit and run in Kensington. The incident occurred around 9 o'clock Wednesday night at Aramingo and Lehigh Avenues. The victim, a 35-year-old man, was riding his scooter when he was struck by a silver Pontiac Aztec. The victim was dragged about 200 feet down the road underneath the SUV. The driver fled the scene. Police found the car with New York plates this morning, but the driver remains at large.

A Philadelphia man was shot in the head and chest and was killed yesterday while standing by a car in the Hunting Park section of Philly. The shooting happened at around 2 p.m. on the 4000 block of Howland Dr. Police say that no arrests have been made as of yet.

Several people were sickened and a Delaware County office was evacuated after fumes filled the building on Wednesday. Firefighters responded to the International Plaza in Tinicum Township around 12 p.m. after reports of a strange odor on the fourth and fifth floors. 16 people were transported to area hospitals complaining of shortness of breath and chest pains. About 39,000 Verizon workers are on strike after last-ditch talks between the company and unions failed Tuesday night. Police say a man was found shot to death inside a car parked on a West Philadelphia street overnight. Neighbors called police to the 1600 block of North Redfield Street early Tuesday because they thought the man was either asleep or dead. The car was still running when neighbors discovered the victim. Police found the 25 year old had been shot three times.

A 22-year-old Cabrini College Student was found dead in a West Conshohocken home over the weekend. The house was rented by lacrosse players at Cabrini College. The students had a party at the house on Saturday night, and the friends of the student found him dead on Sunday morning. An autopsy is being performed to figure out the cause of death, although they suspect it might be a drug overdose.

University of Pennsylvania officials have identified the student who was struck and killed by a SEPTA Market-Frankford train on Monday morning. 21-year-old Ao "Olivia" Kong was a junior finance major at Wharton School of Business.
