Philadelphia Police have announced charges against a teenager in the hit-and-run accident last week that has left a Temple University student in the hospital. 18-year-old Robert Roberts was driving his father's 2012 silver Mitsubishi when he hit 22-year-old Rachel Hall riding her bike at the at the intersection of Park Ave. and Diamond Street around 7pm on April 29th. Police say an officer and three others were injured during an accident early Thursday morning in the Kingsessing section of Philadelphia. This happened around 2 a.m. at 58th Street and Woodland Avenue. A car struck the police SUV after one of the vehicles ran a red light while the officer was responding to a call. A water main break sent a geyser of water shooting high into the air from the middle of the street this afternoon in Montgomery County. It happened around 1:30 pm on the 600 block of Ashbourne Road near Rolling Green in Cheltenham Township. An 8 in. main broke and a 30 foot fountain of water erupted from the pavement for over 30 minutes before crews were able to shut off the water. Comcast is making an effort to satisfy its customers. The cable provider says it will hire 5,500 additional customer-service workers in the United States and hundreds of new service technicians, as part of a broad plan to improve its poorly rated service operations. The company has been bashed nationwide by cable and Internet subscribers as unresponsive and rude. CEO Brian Roberts says that the customer backlash has served as a "rallying cry to rethink how we do business."

Two mothers are facing charges after Philadelphia Police had to rescue two toddlers from a roof in the city's Frankford section. Officers responded to the three-story home on the 4700 block of Leiper Street at about 1:30 p.m. Monday after neighbors called about a child on the roof. They forced their way into the third floor apartment and found a 2-year-old boy out on the roof and a 1-year-old baby trying to climb out the window.
