UPDATE 3/17/15: Philadelphia has Rare Chance at St. Patrick's Northern Lights; Aurora Borealis in Philly?
There is a good chance that the Philadelphia area will receive a dazzling display in the night sky on Saturday according to AccuWeather. A solar flare that occurred at 2 a.m. Thursday could create the spectacular Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis in the skies over the Mid-Atlantic including Southeast Pennsylvania on Saturday night.

Investigators in Lancaster County are still trying to determine how a college student found along a road died. The body of 19-year-old Millersville University sophomore Kevin Chavez was found by motorists on Monday evening near a silo on the 1500 block of Silver Spring Road in West Hempfield Township. Sugar House Casino is hoping to expand. Philadelphia's Casino has submitted a plan to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board calling for a shorter parking garage, more food and beverage outlets, a larger promenade and a new bike trail. Three teenagers were shot this afternoon near Overbrook High School at Tustin Playground at 59th Street and Lancaster Avenue. The incident happened at around 3:45 pm on Thursday. A group of teenagers gathered around a fistfight at the playground when two people pulled out guns and started shooting. A Hillsbourgh, Somerset County, New Jersey woman has been missing for two days. Paige Aiello is a senior communications major at The College of New Jersey in Ewing and captain of the tennis team. Her purse, cellphone and car keys were found along the south walkway of the George Washington Bridge by a passerby on Tuesday at 8pm.
