Robin Gibb, member of the Bee Gees, has passed away from his long battle with cancer according to a statement on his official website.
"The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery," reads the statement. "The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time."

Mick Jagger hosted the season finale of Saturday Night Live. He was terrific in all his skits, very funny, and a decent actor in his first time hosting SNL. He even played Steven Tyler of Aerosmith in one skit looking much like his large mouthed rock colleague. The highlights were definitely his two guest performances with Arcade Fire and Foo Fighters. Police are investigating a triple shooting in West Philadelphia Thursday night. A 22-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in the forehead and in the leg. A second man is in stable condition after he was shot once in the arm and once in the thigh. The third victim is also in stable condition after he was shot in the arm and leg.
