Duran Duran has released a new track off their upcoming album Paper Gods due out September 18th. The electro-pop ballad is titled "What Are The Chances." They've previously released singles "Pressure Off" and "You Kill Me With Silence." In this track, lead singer Simon Le Bon wonders about the workings of fate and destiny, choice or predetermination. Carrie Underwood surprised her fans and released a brand new single called "Smoke Break" to country radio on Thursday. The song was written with longtime collaborators Hillary Lindsey and Chris DeStefano. She explained that the inspiration for the song came during songwriting sessions after they found themselves stopping and going outside for a break after getting stuck writing. Saturday Night Live announced the first few hosts for the start of its upcoming 41st season. Miley Cyrus will host Oct 3rd for the premiere with comedian Amy Schumer on Oct. 10th. Each August as the Earth's annual orbit takes it through the remains of the comet Swift-Tuttle/109P, we are treated to a dramatic show of meteors streaking through the sky called the Perseids.
