The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for Philadelphia and the surrounding communities through 8 p.m. Monday. The Black Eyed Peas are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year with members will.i.am, Taboo, and Apl.de.Ap (Fergie did not join until 2002). They've just released a music video for a track called "Yesterday" which features the three original members digging through the racks of a record store pulling out albums that have been influential to the group. The album covers become animated with the guys from BEP appearing in the album art instead of the original artist.

| The body of a young woman was found beaten and strangled inside her West Philadelphia apartment on Thursday afternoon. 27-year-old Jasmine Wright was found in her third floor unit on the 200 block of South 50th Street after a property manager checked on her at the request of her father. | Philadelphia Police and the FBI have now released photos of the suspect involved in a robbery in Old City this morning. at the TD Bank at 399 Market Street just before 8 am. The male suspect entered the bank and presented a threatening demand note to the teller. He obtained an undisclosed amount of cash, which he then placed into a dark colored shoulder bag before fleeing the bank on foot in an unknown direction. The Christie Administration has threatened for months to take shore homeowners to court if they did not grant easements for formation of a statewide network of dunes to protect against the next major storm. On Thursday, eminent domain actions were filed against the owners of two homes — one in Ship Bottom, the other in Ocean City. They just won’t budge, according to Larry Hajna with the Department of Environmental Protection, and the state can wait no longer.

| Four marines were killed in attacks on two separate military facilities a few miles apart in Chattanooga, TN, on Thursday by a lone gunman. The gunman was killed during a shootout at the second facility. He has been identified as 24-year-old Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, a naturalized US citizen from Kuwait.
