A threat of violence at Upper Darby High School in Delaware County has prompted extra police presence in the area. The specific threat is not confirmed, but officers are surrounding the school this morning in response. Police say the threat appears to be unsubstantiated, but they are taking any and all rumors seriously.

A "Real Housewives of New Jersey" couple is now headed to federal prison after their sentencing hearing in Newark on Thursday. Teresa Giudice was sentenced to 15 months behind bars. Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice, her husband, will serve 41 months in prison. They will also have to pay $414,000 in restitution. The judge will allow Teresa to serve her term first so Joe can stay home with their four children. The couple pled guilty in March to hiding assets from bankruptcy creditors and submitting... The new head of the President Obama's Secret Service is Havertown native and Villanova graduate, Joe Clancy. Clancy had been a member of Obama’s security team until he retired in 2011 and moved to lead security at Comcast. State police say two troopers have suffered injuries while searching for the fugitive suspected of ambushing a northeastern Pennsylvania barracks. Trooper Connie Devens says a Medivac helicopter has been requested for two troopers following an accident Wednesday night. She says the injuries are non-life threatening. Pennsylvania State Police say a State Trooper has died following an accidental shooting at a gun range at the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Campus in Conshohocken. State Police say the trooper, David Kedra from the Skippack barracks, was fatally wounded after being shot in the chest during a training exercise. Trooper Kedra, was 26 years old.
