Dave Grohl told fans at the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park, New York City on Saturday, September 29th that he didn't know when the band would play together again, but that they were going to be taking a break for a while.

Dave Matthews Band just announced their 2012 Winter Tour. They'll hit the road in support of their brand new album Away From The World which is currently #1 in the US! The East Coast tour starts November 30th and finishes December 22nd right here in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center. Tickets go on sale to the public on October 19th.

A Commonwealth Court judge issued a temporary injunction today against the controversial Voter ID law. The injunction will prevent the full law from going into effect for the upcoming election. Registered voters will not be required to have a valid ID in order to fill out a ballot on election day Nov. 6. Judge Robert Simpson did not find a problem with asking voters for ID, but felt that having those without ID fill out provisional ballots could lead to disenfranchisement. The law was upheld,... Registered voters will not have to present the identification listed in the controversial law in order to cast a ballot on Nov. 6. Judge Robert E. Simpson Jr. rejected the notion that the offending activity was simply asking a voter for ID, but rather potential voter disenfranchisement if they could not produce an ID.

The Philadelphia Water Department is advising those in the University City section of Philadelphia that their water may be affected by recent maintenance work. 'Rusty water' has appeared in the area after crews performed routine maintenance on water pipes in University City. Philadephia Police opened an internal affairs investigation this morning after video of an officer punching a woman in the face surfaced. The incident occurred during a street party after the Puerto Rican Day parade. The video shows the officer, Lt. Jonathan Josey, a 19-year veteran, striking the woman as she walks away from a group of officers on the street. A pet food drive in Camden County, New Jersey begins today.
The goal is to collect enough food to feed all of the animals in Camden County’s three shelters for two days. The hope is to use the money that would typically be used to feed these animals for that two day period to cover key operating expenses, do upgrades and other things.
