The Haverford Music Festival, which runs from noon to 8:00 pm on September 17th, 2011 in the Oakmont business area of Havertown, needs adult men and women to staff volunteer committees.

The Phillies looked to have squashed division rivals, the Atlanta Braves, with a three game sweep pushing them 10 1/2 games back in the standings. It was the first series sweep suffered by the Braves since the Phillies did it to them last September. South Philadelphia will have to say goodbye to the Sunoco refineries. Sunoco Inc. announced it will sell or close its oil refineries in South Philly and Marcus Hook.

Objectively for me, no! I do have this 'habit' of listening to an artist, in particular a full album/cd release straight thru!!!! Besides, 'listening' to one of the 'programmed stations' is like taking someone's 'shuffled i-pod' and going that route. President Obama this week stood on a bridge overlooking the rain-swollen and fast-rushing Passaic River in Paterson, New Jersey, and said the federal government would work to rebuild towns recovering from Hurricane Irene's wrath.

Philadelphia School District investigators found evidence of "several violations" in state testing protocol at Roosevelt Middle School, supporting teachers' assertions that cheating occurred at the school.
The report contradicts statements by senior officials that allegations of cheating at the East Germantown school were "unfounded."
