Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect who shot and killed the store manager of a Dunkin' Donuts store in North Philadelphia during an armed robbery early Saturday morning, 6/5. The incident was caught on store surveillance video. It happened at 5:23 a.m. at the Dunkin' store on the 500 block of W. The Cumberland County Prosecutors Office announced that one of the three men previously arrested on firearms offenses in connection to the mass shooting at a party in Fairfield Township late last month has now been charged with attempted murder. 36-year-old Kevin Dawkins of Bridgeton was arrested on May 23 for a variety of gun charges. Pennsylvania has now lifted all coronavirus COVID-19 related mitigation restrictions. That includes capacity limits on both indoor and outdoor gatherings, restaurants, businesses, entertainment venues, religious gatherings, etc. Vaccinated people do not have to wear masks unless using public transit or entering a business or public place that specifically requires one. Philadelphia officials announced on Friday, 5/28, that they are moving up the date to lift the 'Safer-at-Home' COVID-19 restrictions to Wednesday, June 2. It was previously June 11. Starting next Wednesday, there will no longer be any density limits, maximum capacity limits, or social distancing rules for anyone.
