Folcroft Officer Christopher Dorman was released this afternoon from Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in West Philadelphia just three days after being shot seven times. Dorman was greeted by a line of officers and a cheering crowd as he was wheeled to an awaiting SUV and a motorcade back to the Folcroft Fire Co. A Northeast Philadelphia woman is dead, shot by her boyfriend with a crossbow. It happened last night after an argument ended with the man shooting her in the chest. The arrow went through the 42 year old victim, then through a sofa before embedding in a wall. The woman was able to get to a neighbors house, but lost a lot of blood and died at the hospital. The 40 year old boyfriend is in custody.

Chaka Fattah, the once powerful Philadelphia congressman, resigned in disgrace last week after his racketeering conviction. Now, a national taxpayer watchdog group says Fattah should be stripped of his pension, because of a no-pensions-for-felons law. "Congressman Fattah could be the first lawmaker to be deprived of his pension under ethics laws that were enacted in 2007 and 2012," said Pete Sepp, president of the National Taxpayers Union.

25-year-old Folcroft Police Officer Christopher Dorman is recovering well at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in West Philadelphia after being shot 7 times on Friday. Philadelphia Police are searching for two juvenile suspects wanted for tormenting a homeless man by throwing rocks at him. It happened around 10 p.m. on May 29th at the TD Bank on the 2600 block of South 5th Street. A brush fire burning in and around Browns Mills, Burlington County in South Jersey, is about 25 percent contained and some roads in the area are closed. The fire started Wednesday afternoon.
