Giant steel beams from the World Trade Center have been returned home where they were created. The beams resembling huge tuning forks were visible to the world after the terrorist attacks in New York brought down the Twin Towers. They were built by Lukens Steel and yesterday one of 10 of the steel trees was unveiled at the National Iron and Steel Heritage Museum in Coatesville.

U.S. News and World Report has released it's annual rankings of the Best Colleges and Universities in the country. Philadelphia has long been a hot bed for higher education and several area schools performed well in the listings. A Chester County man who shot and killed his neighbors' two dogs in February was found guilty of animal cruelty Wednesday. Earlier this year, Gabe Pilotti of Chester Springs says he was protecting his sheep from his neighbor's Bernese mountain dogs after they escaped their yard. But Hogan says Pilotti took it too far, killing the dogs; two-year-old Argus and one-year-old Fiona.

Emergency crews today rescued a man who had a seizure while working 100 feet in the air. The man was atop of Lockheed Martin's "Cornfield Cruiser" facility on Centerton Road in Moorestown, Burlington County. He had to be lowered off the structure by a crane. The facility is known to many because it looks like a battleship out in a field. It's actually called the Vice Admiral James H. Doyle Combat Systems Engineering Development Site. September 11th. Twelve years ago today the terrorist attacks on 9/11 remain the worst on United States soil. Ceremonies marking the anniversary are taking place today at Ground Zero in New York and Washington. President Obama is attending a memorial service at the Pentagon. Mayor Michael Nutter has declined an invitation to officiate a wedding of a same-sex Philadelphia couple. The two men who live in Center City obtained a marriage license from Montgomery County. D. Philadelphia police are searching for the suspect who was caught on surveillance video holding a gun to an employee's head during a robbery in Girard Estates. The incident occurred on August 29th at the Dollar Tree Store on Oregon Avenue when a man entered and walked to the rear of the store where he allegedly forced an employee at gunpoint to open a safe.

Authorities are blaming the parents after an emaciated 3-year-old girl died overnight at Einstein Medical Center. The girl, Nathalyz Rivera, was brought the the hospital shortly before 2 am. She weighed-in at only 11 pounds, instead of a normal 25-36 pounds. The medical examiner said that she showed "obvious signs of neglect" and ruled the death homicide through starvation.
