A condemned inmate escaped lethal injection Thursday for the murder of a teenage girl after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the execution should be halted. Officials in Ocean County have confirmed the death of four people as a result of Superstorm Sandy. A 94 year old Forked River woman and a 71 year old Stafford man died from hyperthermia due to exposure to the cold. A 61 year old man from Brick and a 72 year old Little Egg Harbor man drowned. Today FEMA started bringing the first of several hundred pre-fab houses to parts of New Jersey and New York hardest hit by Sandy.

Surgeons at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia have successfully separated 8 month old twin girls who were joined at the lower chest and abdomen. The seven hour procedure separated Allison and Amelia Tucker of New York. CHOP lead surgeon Holly Hedrick said the surgery was successful and the babies should grow to live healthy independent lives.

Surgeons at CHOP successfully completed operations to separate 8-month-old twin girls from New York who were joined at the lower chest and abdomen. Lead surgeon Holly Hedrick said in a statement Wednesday night that the complex surgery "went very well and as expected." Officials said the surgery was the 21st separation of conjoined twins performed at the hospital.

The Township of Toms River, New Jersey has issued evacuation notices ahead of the Nor'easter forecasted to hit the region today, bringing rain, high winds and the potential for moderate coastal flooding. The Jersey shore may catch a little break in the weather tomorrow. The Nor'easter threatening the coastline could possibly weaken a bit. The storm, headed this way from Florida may veer further offshore than earlier predicted. What that means is less wind and rain, however gusts may still reach 50 miles per hour at the shore tomorrow afternoon. For Philadelphia and the I-95 corridor, a mix of rain and snow is possible.
