FBI Joins Search For Montgomery; Missing Teen Found; Chinese Investors Help Link Highways

An FBI task force has joined the search for missing college student Shane Montgomery. Yesterday agents began re-interviewing witnesses in the Manayunk area while a police marine unit searched the canal for Montgomery. No trace of the student was found, and police say they may search the Schuylkill next. The reward has been raised to $15,000.

21-year-old West Chester University student Shane Montgomery of Roxborough is still missing this evening after disappearing from a Manayunk bar very early on Thanksgiving morning. Montgomery was last seen leaving Kildare's Pub at 1:45 a.m. on Main Street after a night out with friends on Thanksgiving Eve. The search continued Saturday. Police are looking for a missing West Chester University student who disappeared from a Manayunk bar after going out with friends Thanksgiving Eve. 21-year-old Shane M. Montgomery of Roxborough was last seen around 1:45 a.m. Thursday at Kildare's Pub at 4417 Main St. He went to the bar with his cousin and a few friends home from college and were dropped off around 10 p.m. The group got separated inside. Temperatures were in the 30's yesterday for the 95th annual Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade. It is the oldest turkey day parade in the country. Thousands of people lined the Ben Franklin Parkway to take in the floats, singers, dancers and of course, Santa at the end. Then most parties moved indoors to gather with family, enjoy a Thanksgiving feast and watch the Eagles devour the Cowboys.

A 30-year-old man was stabbed to death Thursday morning in an Overbrook home. The man was stabbed multiple times in his chest and arms on the 5400 block of Arlington Street. He was rushed to the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead about half an hour later. His identity was not released.

The oldest Thanksgiving Day parade in the country continued this morning on the Parkway in Philadelphia. Mayor Nutter was on hand as local schools, entertainers and bands entertained families gathered in front of the Art Museum for the annual tradition.
