Friday night, 5/11, I saw Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros in Upper Darby at the Tower Theater. Fool's Gold opened for them and it was an incredible experience, best concert I have been to, besides Arcade Fire. Their energy was so incredible, amping up the entire audience until every single person was dancing and singing along. The Montgomery County coroner has identified the two people killed in yesterday's crash on Route 309 near Fort Washington. They were 54-year-old Esther Louis and her 21-year-old son, Richard Guerrier. The coroner also says they were NOT pushing their Lincoln Town Car after it broke down in the middle of the highway. Police have arrested the man who threw a cup of scalding hot coffee at a donut shop employee. The incident was all caught on surveillance cameras. 52-year-old David Timbers turned himself in.

The accident on 309 North yesterday left 2 people dead after their car stalled in the middle lane. The 54 year old woman and 20 year old man were pushing their vehicle toward the shoulder when they were crushed by another vehicle.

East Falls Accident Kills One, Fresh Donuts Assailant Surrenders, Delco Woman Best Mom On Wheels

One person is dead and two others are injured after a three-car accident in East Falls. One 25-year-old woman who was driving had to be extricated from her vehicle. She later died from her injuries at the hospital. In the other vehicle was a 64-year-old man who suffered from a head injury and a 50-year-old woman who suffered injuries to her leg, arm and chest. Both are in stable condition at this time.

Mayor Michael Nutter was joined by Jay-Z this morning atop the Art Museum steps to announce a the big Labor Day weekend music festival called "Made in America" It's going to featured 28 acts on 3 stages over 2 days along the Parkway. Radio Personality April Kauffman Found Dead

47 year old April Kauffman was found dead in her home in Linwood, New Jersey on Thursday morning. She had been shot multiple times. A friend had come to take care of her pets and found her body in the master bedroom.

April was a wife, mother, and grandmother. She owned a hair salon, a catering business, and until recently hosted a weekly radio talk show on WOND-AM 1400 and also appeared on WIBG. Her show focused on Veteran’s issues.

The wait is over and speculation can be put to rest. Jay-Z and Mayor Nutter have officially announced the Budweiser "Made in America" Festival to be held on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway on September 1st and 2nd over Labor Day Weekend. They made the announcement this morning in front of an large American flag on a drizzle soaked set on the Art Museum steps.

Juniata Body Identified, Bomb Squad To Police Building, Chester Mother's Day Parade Protest

A woman's decomposed body found in the Juniata Park section of Philadelphia early Saturday has been identified as 22-year-old Melanie Colon of North Reese Street. She died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Colon's body was found by a passerby Saturday morning behind an apartment building near Wyoming Avenue.
