All the hairspray the genius marketing execs were using who came up with this compilation must have seeped well into their brains during the 80's, because this 90's infomercial for a 2 CD (or 2 cassette) collection of "tunes" called Punk misses the mark by about 1000 miles. Or maybe it's spot on because Huey Lewis, Crowd House, Men at Work, Human League, Culture Club really are synonymous with slam dance, working class, antiestablishment, against the mainstream, etc. Nope, they are all soft... Donna Summer, the Queen of Disco, has passed away at the age of 63 this morning in Florida. She had been battling cancer. Summer was a 5-time Grammy winner. She was a superstar in the '70s with iconic disco hits like "Last Dance," "Hot Stuff", "Bad Girls", and "Heaven Knows"

Firefighters on a house fire in West Philadelphia discovered a large-scale marijuana growing operation. When firefighters began battling the blaze, they found 100 marijuana plants valued at $1 million inside the property. Narcotics investigators were on the scene conducting an investigation.

A South Jersey man who made headlines a few days ago for his wreckless flaunting of the DUI laws, has yet again been arrested for driving under the influence. 45-year-old Anderson Sotomayor was arrested at about noon today during a traffic stop at Park and Crystal Avenues in Vineland. That's his 5th DWI arrest in 38 days. His last coming May 12th. His still has his license because he has yet to go to trial for the first offense on April 11th. That court date is May 30th. Lightning Fire in Bristol, Michael Vick Wedding, Cell Tower Permit Pulled

Last night's lightning sparked a fire at a chemical plant in Bristol and two storage tanks went up in flames. A fire police officer, Dave Wintz died after the fire was put out apparently suffering from a heart attack. He was pronounced dead at Aria-Torresdale Hospital.
