Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a missing Chester County woman and her two children and are asking the public's help. 30-year-old Shannon Nicole Lake left her home in New London Township over a week ago with her boyfriend, Daniel Patrick Connors, and her children, a 2-year-old daughter and a 6-month-old son. They were last seen in the Kensington section of Philadelphia on June 18. She is described as 5' 7" tall and weighs about 115 pounds. She has brown hair and green eyes.... Read More

A waitress was abducted and assaulted after trying to stop a group of diners from running out on a $70 bill from a Gloucester County, NJ, restaurant. It happened around 11:15 p.m. Saturday, 6/19, at the Nifty Fifty's in Turnersville. Surveillance footage shows the group of five dine-and-dashers leave the restaurant and get into a white Dodge Durango without paying for their meal. Philadelphia Police are searching for a dirt bike rider in the deadly shooting of a man in West Philadelphia on Thursday evening, 6/17. They have released a surveillance photo of the suspect. It happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of 52nd Street and Girard Avenue. Several dirt bike riders were following a Chevy Impala. A suspected serial killer, who is also charged in the murder of a Philadelphia Dunkin' Donuts manager, is now charged in the murder of his mother. Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner approved the additional murder charges against 39-year-old Keith Gibson on Wednesday, 6/16. Gibson allegedly shot and killed his mother, Christine Gibson, at her work on February 8. A New Jersey man admitted in court that he faked his own disappearance to avoid being prosecuted on bank fraud charges. 51-year-old Andrew Biddle of Egg Harbor Township pled guilty on Wednesday, 6/16, to the bank fraud charges and to causing the Coast Guard to render unnecessary aid. He faces up to 36 years when he is sentenced on October 18.

Philadelphia Police are investigating after at least 11 people were injured in a crash involving a SEPTA bus and other vehicles in West Philadelphia on Thursday afternoon, 6/17. It happened around 4:15 p.m. at S. 57th Street and Larchwood Avenue in the Cobbs Creek neighborhood. The crash involved a Route G SEPTA bus and 4 other cars. Eight people on the bus were injured and 3 in the other vehicles. They were all non life-threatening injuries. The cause is under investigation.

The U.S. Supreme Court unanimously ruled today 9-0, siding with Philadelphia's Catholic Social Services over the City of Philadelphia. In 2018, Philadelphia stopped referring children to the foster agency because CSS would not certify same-sex couples to become foster parents. That went against the city's nondiscrimination policy in city contracts. Catholic Social Services sued the City claiming its rights to religious freedom were violated. The first sighting on Ridge Road on Tuesday night, 6/15, reported two bears. Subsequent sightings have only reported one bear. Anna Verna, the first and only female president of Philadelphia City Council, has passed away at age 90. Verna was first elected to City Council in 1975 and succeeded her father in the 2nd District in South Philadelphia and Center City. Verna became president in 1999. She retired after serving 36 years in office. Current Council President Darryl Clarke succeeded her in 2012.
