Comcast announced today that it plans to build a second office tower in Philadelphia. The building will be called the "Comcast Innovation and Technology Center" and will be located on Arch Street between 18th and 19th. The skyscraper was designed by British architect Norman Foster who is known for London's Millennium Bridge and "The Gerkin" as well as Apple's new "Spaceship" headquarters. A cop killer escaped a death row sentence and the family of the murdered officer is outraged. Judge Teresa Sarmina vacated the sentence of Edward Bracey who killed Officer Daniel Boyle 22 years ago. Sarmina found that Bracey was "mentally retarded" and could not be executed under a Supreme Court ruling. Bracey who shot Boyle during a traffic stop will spend life in prison.

A 25-year-old mother was putting her kids in the car when a man armed with a knife tried pulling her into the woods to rape her at Stoney Creek Park in Lansdale. He is a homeless 16-year-old self-described citizen of El Salvador and police allege Herson Guardado tried to rape a young mother. The mom who called 911 and her children were not injured. The lineup for the 2014 Firefly Music Festival held in Dover, DE was announced this afternoon. This year Firefly is expanding to cover 4 days of music featuring over 100 bands. Philadelphia Police say Monday afternoon., a detective was in the area of 1600 South Corlies Street to serve a warrant with the Attorney General's Office, when he saw a man who appeared to be carrying a rifle. When the detective approached the man, he allegedly pointed the rifle at the detective, and the detective then discharged his Glock, never striking the man.

A grand jury is investigating two Philadelphia police officials for the alleged cover-up of an arrest in 2012.
