The first trailer for DC Comics and Warner Brothers Suicide Squad has been released after airing at San Diego Comic Con last weekend. The David Ayer directed film is expected to be released in August. The clip gives us a glimpse of most of the major actors and characters including Jared Leto as Joker. Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput released a statement today regarding the recent firing of a teacher at Waldron Mercy Academy in Lower Merion, Montgomery County. Margie Winters was presumably fired from her job as religious education director because she is in a same sex marriage. Comedy Central is debuting a new web series on comedycentral.com called Delco Proper. The Delaware County focused series stars Philadelphia comedians Tommy Pope, Tim Butterly, and John McKeever from the Deer Prom and Bird Text comedy groups.

McNabb Suspended Indefinitely; NAACP Convention Opens; Gathering for Fired Gay Teacher

According to Sports Illustrated, Donovan McNabb has been suspended indefinitely from his job at Fox Sports. McNabb's suspension comes on the heels of him being arrested back on June 28 for driving under the influence of alcohol in Arizona. It was the second time in 18 months the former Pro Bowler was arrested for the offense. The first arrest was back in Dec. 15, 2013. He eventually served one day in jail in April of 2014 after pleading guilty.

Police are investigating a double shooting on the 1600 block of Widener Place in North Philadelphia just after 10 p.m. Sunday night. The male victim, 21, was shot twice in the leg. The second victim, a 46 year old female was also shot twice, once in the stomach and once in the leg. Both were transported to Einsteins Hospital and remain in stable condition. An investigation is ongoing with no suspects or motives at this time.

Rolling Stones guitarist, Keith Richards, has announced that he will be releasing a solo album called CROSSEYED HEART this fall. It will be the third solo album for the 71-year-old and first in 23 years. Richards previously released Talk is Cheap in 1988 and Main Offender in 1992. The first single, "Trouble," will be made available on July 17. He worked with his X-Pensive Winos band on most of the album. It also features a collaboration with Nora Jones on a track... Police in Millersville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania arrested a man after finding him naked inside a barn full of hogs on Friday, June 26th. Manor Township police were called to investigate a possible trespasser and discovered 64-year-old Larry William Henry naked inside the barn with the pigs. Henry had previously been barred from that property in March 2011. He told officers that he just liked the pigs. He also admitted to drinking a six-pack of beer while hanging out with the... Democratic mayoral hopeful Jim Kenney has commented on the firing of a same-sex marriage faculty member at Waldron-Mercy Academy. Margie Winters was fired by the school after a dispute over curriculum. Kenney contends "cowardly men" at the Archdiocese made the call. Spokesman for the Archdiocese, Ken Gavin says the personnel decision was made by Waldron, not the Archdiocese.

Severe storms moved through the area Thursday night, causing damage and leaving thousands without power. As of 10:30 p.m., PECO reports about 7,129 outages, with most of them in Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. PSE&G reports about 3,829 outages, Delmarva about 4,896, AC Electric about 1,176 and Met-Ed about 912.
