PA Attorney General Kathleen Kane released the report on the investigation of how the Jerry Sandusky case was handled. Kane had pledged to look into the pacing of the probe and hired a former federal prosecutor to handle the probe. Governor Tom Corbett was Attorney General at the time of the Sandusky probe and reassures he did not do anything to slow the probe for political reasons.

The Philadelphia Union sponsored a block party in Center City on Locust Street for soccer fans... Read More

  by: iradioal - Philadelphia, PA
started: 06/23/14 7:29 am | updated: 06/23/14 7:29 am

Sunday, Day 4, inside the Woodlands at Dover Downs saw the return of the sunshine upon the Firefly Music Festival, however it did not get as hot as it did on Friday and frequent sprayings by water trucks controlled the dust along the roads. Getaway day featured a lighter schedule, but still packed with some top talent. The two early performances were both by Australian acts, one by singer-songwriter Vance Joy on the Lawn stage and the other by indie rock band The Griswolds on the Big Break... Read More

Asgeir appeared at the MilkBoy on Tuesday, June 17 to a knowledgeable, sold out and enthusiastic group of fans. I am a new convert to the music of Asgeir, a 21 year-old Icelandic performer. I heard 3 of his songs on the radio and got hooked. You can't put him in a box! Is he a folk singer; Is he a poet; Is he a electronic musician; Is he a rock/progressive rock musician, yes. His performance is nothing less than eclectic on every level. He performed most of the songs off In The... Read More

Saturday, Day 3, at Firefly Music Festival in Dover, DE, started off with a bit of rain in the morning hours but whatever drizzle was left ended as the gates opened. The rest of the day continued to be overcast and it was much cooler than Friday, but only a sun worshipper would complain about the comfortable conditions. Getting a little water on the grounds also helped keep the dust at bay for most of the day.
