Darren Daulton has Brain Cancer; Camden County Power Out; Pottsgrove Standoff Over, Man Dead |

Former Philadelphia Phillie's catcher Darren Daulton has been diagnosed with a glioblastoma, highly malignant form of brain cancer. Daulton went through successful surgery to remove two brain tumors just over a week ago. He has now returned to his Clearwater, FL home to recover before starting treatments for the cancer.
Thousands of residents in Camden County are without power. Around 6700 customers in Bellmawr, Mount Ephraim, and Lawnside lost power at around 4pm.... Read More |

A double shooting last night near an elementary school playground in Olney left one man dead and another in critical condition. The shooting happened last night at about 11:30 on the 5800 block of North Fifth Street. According to police, a 21 year old victim died at the hospital and the second victim, in his teens was shot multiple times. Police are checking surveillance video for clues to the gunman.

The great lead singer of the Shirelles, Shirley Alston Reeves, appeared on July 6th at the Lou Booth Amphitheater in North Wildwood. All 500 seats of the venue were filled with another 100 or so folks standing to see the performance.

A Philadelphia man has been arrested after leaving his toddler in the car this past weekend while he was inside the casino playing blackjack. Bensalem police found an 18-month old boy inside a Lexus Saturday night in the parking lot of the Parx Casino. His father, 44-year-old Danny Ngo, was inside the casino for about 40 minutes while his young son was outside alone in the car. A public hearing is on for today with state officials and city labor leaders on hand to discuss the deadly building collapse last month in Center City.
