Several South Philadelphia community organizations are offering a $3,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect responsible for two early morning robberies this past June in the heart of Queen Village. Bella Vista Townwatch, Queen Village Neighborhood Association, Headhouse District and Society Hill Civic Association are among the groups that raised the $3,500 reward.

The yearly farm aid benefit concert is set for September 22 in Hershey, PA. These concerts work to help the small and medium sized farms that face peril with economic landslide. This year they are hoping for a larger turnout than last due to Pennsylvania's vast farm land. Mayor Nutter told a federal judge this morning that his ban on public feeding of homeless people in the city parks is part of his plan to end city homelessness. It is not a reaction to pressure from cultural groups along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The ban is being challenged on constitutional grounds from various religious groups who feed the homeless outside in city parks. They say it interferes with their free exercise of religion. Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill is taking some heat from a North Philly minister who says Meek Mill's "Amen" is blasphemous. The Reverend Jomo K. Johnson, who is about the same age as Meek Mill, grew up listening to the same music. But Johnson says Amen goes too far, thanking God for free-wheeling sex, violence and money. Johnson is encouraging a boycott of Meek Mill's music.

Hershey Hosts Farm Aid 2012, Heat Wave Claims Elderly Lives, Delaware Soccer Shooting Kills 3

Farm Aid's principals - Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave Matthews - have announced this year's Farm Aid concert. The show will take place at Hershey Park Stadium in Hershey on September 22. Also on the bill will be Willie's son Lukas Nelson, Neil's wife Pegi Young and Jack Johnson. More artists will likely be announced in the next few weeks. Tickets go on sale to the general public on this Friday, July 13 at 10 am ET.

New York Met's starting pitcher R.A. Dickey has had a career year so far in 2012 and leads the NL roster of pitchers in wins at 12 with a solid 2.40 ERA and 123 strike outs. However, National League manager Tony La Russa and staff decided to start San Francisco Giant Matt Cain instead (7-1, 2.87, 70 SO) to reward him for a "career of excellence". A new Basketball league is forming along the east coast with plans for a Philadelphia franchise. The Basketball Alumni Legends Legaue or BALL will kick off next July 2013, but will have a special preview this August 4 and 5 with a Philly vs DC home and home matchup.
