Light Display Over Philadelphia, Water Main Break, Subway Shooter in Custody

Last night, the skies over the Benjamin Franklin Parkway were crisscrossed by 24 beams of light responding to hundreds of recorded voice messages. "Open Air" is an interactive light exhibit that will take place nightly through mid-October. The light show can be seen for 10 miles around the city. Roosevelt Boulevard Water Main Break, Terrance Williams Execution, Septa Shooter In Custody

A water main break in the Northeast will be causing serious traffic headaches for commuters, this morning. The inner southbound lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard are closed while crews try to repair the break. The 12 inch water main on Woodward Street broke overnight and the water department expects the repair to take a long time. In the meantime, Woodward Street is closed and police have detours in place throughout the area.

Teenager Arrested in Broad Street Subway Shooting; Blogger Surrenders, Charged with Making Threats

The shooter sought by police in Wednesday's SEPTA Broad Street Subway shooting was turned into police Thursday afternoon by his parents. The 15-year-old will face charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and other crimes. Surveillance footage shows a male firing a gun into a crowded subway car at around 2 pm at the Susquehanna-Dauphin station in North Philadelphia. Councilwomen Reynolds-Brown Backs $2000 ATV Fines; Open Air Philly Begins Tonight

The City of Philadelphia is looking for ways to curb the illegal use of ATV's and dirtbikes on city streets and parks. The rampant and dangerous use of these vehicles has only been growing and controlling them has become an issue since current state laws only impose minimal fines and seizures usually find their was back into the offenders' hands. Governor Tom Corbett was in Philadelphia for a Town Hall meeting yesterday at the Museum of Art. The meeting was scheduled to last 90 minutes but was cut short due to frequent interruptions from protesters yelling from the audience. More than 10 people were removed from the event by police and security.

Gloucester Missing Teen, Made In America Cost, Broad Street Subway Shooting

Police in Gloucester Township are searching for a missing 16 year old. Kayla Maven was reported missing by her mother on Sept. 18. Kayla left the house sometime after Sept. 17 with her two month old son, Jeremiah. While it is not known where Kayla went, she is believed to be in the Vineland area in Cumberland County.

Two Teens Shot on Septa Subway; All Made in America City Costs Paid by Live Nation

Two teens were shot this afternoon aboard the Broad Street SEPTA subway at the Susquehanna–Dauphin station in North Philadelphia when a fight broke out between high schoolers riding the train after school. The two teens hit were 14 and 17 years old years old and shot in the leg and the arm respectively. They were taken to Temple University Hospital and are expected to recover. One suspect has been taken into custody and another is being sought.

NFL Films President and Sports broadcasting pioneer Steve Sabol has died after an 18 month battle with brain cancer. Sabol and his father started NFL Films in 1962 working out of a small office at 13th and Vine in Philadelphia. Sabol was 69 years old.

Philadelphia police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect responsible for robbing the American Heritage Federal Credit Union. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a black male in his early-to-mid 30's. PA Supreme Courts orders Commonwealth Court to reassess Voter ID Law

The PA Supreme Court has sent back the Voter ID appeal to the lower Commonwealth Court to assess the current availability of alternative forms of identifications. These forms include the easier obtain Department of State ID available at PennDOT centers.
