PPA Announces New Mobile Pay App; Teen Struck By Car; Injured SEPTA Passenger Filing Lawsuit

The Philadelphia Parking Authority has now announced that the meterUp pay-for-parking mobile app is now returning to Philadelphia. The PPA announced on Wednesday that they have approved a new vendor for the app, ParkMobile LLC. The PPA says that ParkMobile has multiple years of experience with parking apps, having been vendors to cities including New York, Denver, Dallas, DC and Miami. David DJ Creato Pleads Guilty; All Clear at Chester Courthouse; BB Shootings Lead to Chase

According the the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, David 'DJ' Creato Jr has pleaded guilty in the death of his toddler son Brendan. Creato pled guilty to one count of first degree aggravated manslaughter in court today. His original murder trial ended in a hung jury in May. The retrial was scheduled to start on September 11th. Creato will be sentenced on September 29th. As a part of the plea he will serve 10 years in prison and won't be eligible for parole for 8 1/2 years. Creato... Read More

Officials have now announced that the annual Army-Navy Football game will be held in Philadelphia four times from 2018-2022. The schools held a news conference on Tuesday at City Hall to announce that the games will be held in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022. The annual game will be held each time at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia. Haverford Shooter Caught in Georgia; Train Crash at 69th Street; Cosby Retrial Delayed

U.S. Marshals have arrested a man in Georgia wanted for shooting and killing a man outside an apartment in Haverford Township last month. 24-year-old Derrick Rollins was taken into custody in Decatur, GA, near Atlanta. He was found hiding at an apartment complex with a female associate. He is being held at DeKalb County Jail awaiting extradiction. Rollins is wanted in connection to two incidents on July 29th. Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a man shot and killed a women and then turned the gun on himself outside of a funeral home in Delaware County on Monday. The incident took place outside of a funeral home on South Providence and Chester Roads at around 1:15 pm. Police say that the man and woman pulled up in front of the funeral home, that's when the woman got out of the car and started running. The first coast to coast solar eclipse in 99 years drew millions outside in the middle of the day throughout the country. Even if you weren't in the path of totality, many parts of the United States were able to see at least part of the show. Here in Philadelphia we reached close to 80%. A few clouds did pass by at the time of the peak coverage but it was great viewing for most of the afternoon. Man Dies In Chester Crash; New PA DUI Law; Rizzo Mural Vandalized With White Paint

One person has now died after two motorcycles crashed in Chester Delaware County on Sunday. The incident took place at around 7:30 pm on Sunday at 10th and Lamokin Streets. Officials say that both of the bikes crashed into another, the one victim was pronounced dead and the other suffered injuries from the crash. Police are still continuing an investigation into the crash.

The statue of former Philadelphia Mayor Frank Rizzo was vandalized again last night. The vandals struck in full view of TV news cameras. The statue is located outside of the Municipal Services Building across the street from City Hall. Last night around 11 p.m., a man was caught on camera spray painting the words "Black Power" across the front of the statue and writing more words on the steps.
