A man is in custody after stealing an ambulance and leading authorities on a wild chase through Northeast Philadelphia on Friday night, 2/28. It started as a call to a domestic disturbance around 9:20 p.m. at the Roosevelt Inn on the 7600 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. A 12-year-old boy Wilmington boy was arrested after he stole a Chinese food delivery driver's vehicle and fled from police on Thursday, 2/27. He is charged with one count of felony vehicle theft, one count of misdemeanor resisting arrest, one count of reckless driving, and one count of leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Plans to open a safe injection site in South Philadelphia have been shelved after the building owner, Constitution Health Plaza, canceled the lease. A woman was killed and a man was injured in a double shooting at an apartment building in Maple Shade on Sunday afternoon, 2/23. It happened before 2:30 p.m. at The Arbors on South Lenola Road. The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office says that police found 22-year-old Kayla Winkler and 24-year-old Ramek Bass outside an apartment on the seventh floor suffering from gunshot wounds.
