SEPTA fare evaders, usually young men and women, are being put on notice; if they jump a turnstile to avoid paying the fare, SEPTA is watching. SEPTA now has 1,100 live feed cameras as part of a $50 million video and camera monitoring initiative to catch fare jumpers and keep the system safe for riders. The Coast Guard has suspended it search for 32-year-old David McAuliffe, who went missing Tuesday morning aboard a commercial tow boat off the coast of South Jersey. Crews searched more than 400 square miles, for a total of 65 hours. It was reported that Cape Hatteras had survival equipment aboard, including two survival suits and two life rafts.

Penn's Annenberg School is hosting an event tonight marking the 50th anniversary of a landmark bit of communication, Martin Luther King Jr's Letter from Birmingham Jail. One of the featured speakers is Delaware County native Jonathan Rieder, Sociology Professor at Barnard College and author of a book on the Letter. A pedestrian was struck and killed on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in King of Prussia on Monday night. It was about 10:45 p.m. last night on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Allendale Road overpass in Upper Merion Township where the person was fatally struck by a tractor trailer. The driver of the tractor trailer stopped at the scene. There is no word on what caused the incident.

Two children are recovering in the hospital after a fire at an apartment in Montgomery County in Norristown. Firefighters arrived to find two toddlers inside a first floor bedroom in the rear of the apartment. They say the children, twin boys, were home alone. The boys were airlifted to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia while firefighters brought the blaze under control. Officials say the children suffered smoke inhalation and burns to their throats.

The FBI released photos and video Thursday of two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing and asked for the public's help in identifying them. The photos of the two men came from surveillance cameras near the explosion sites. Within moments of the announcement, the FBI website crashed, perhaps because of a crush of visitors.

A massive explosion at a fertilizer plant near Waco Texas on Wednesday night injured dozens of people and sent flames shooting into the night sky, leaving the factory a smoldering ruin following a blast that damaged buildings for blocks in every direction. Massachusetts Gov. Patrick says no unexploded bombs were found at the Boston Marathon. He says the only explosives were the ones that went off Monday. Three people were killed, including an 8-year-old boy, by two explosions just seconds apart near the finish line. Police commissioner Ed Davis says 176 victims came to hospitals around Boston, and 17 of those are in critical condition.
