Clay Buchholz, a veteran Boston Red Sox pitcher, has now been traded to the Phillies for minor league second baseman Josh Tobias. Buchholz spent 10 seasons with the Red Sox, and had very high expectations from the team since his start when he threw a no hitter during his second career start. New Jersey State Police are now investigating a deadly car crash that took place in Burlington County Monday night. The incident took place in the southbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike in Westampton at around 9:45 pm. Police were originally called onto the scene about a crash involving a work crew. When they arrived they discovered that a driver of a pick up truck had crashed into a broken down tractor trailer. One person has died from the crash and police are still investigating... Police have now identified the victims of the fatal car crash that took place on Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia Sunday night. 34-year-old Ramon Ramierz-Camacho and 38-year-old Lorraine Rivera were killed after their Mercedes Benz crashed into the back of a school bus in the north bound lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard right near Woodward Street. Former Phillies' Shortstop Jimmy Rollins just signed a minor league deal with the San Fransisco Giants. The Giants will be his third team in three years after spending 15 years on the Phillies. The Phillies traded Rollins back in December of 2014 for a pair of minor league players. Since then Rollins has been on the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago White Sox. The Electoral College is set to meet Monday to vote for President of the United States. In all of the 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia, voters chosen by the states' party that carried their state will cast their votes for President of the United States. Police have stated that a 10-year-old boy has been killed in a house fire that broke out in the Cobbs Creek section of Philadelphia on Friday. The fire broke out on the 1200 block of South Millick Street at around 4 am. Firefighters arrived on scene to heavy smoke pouring out of the second floor window. The fire spread to three of the neighboring homes. Firefighters did their best to save the boy, but were not able to reach him due to the vast flames. The boy's father had to be rushed to... The Phillies have now signed center fielder Odubel Herrera to a five-year contract that will last through the 2021 season. The Phillies acquired Herrera back in 2014 in the Rule 5 draft from of the Texas Rangers. This past 2016 season Herrera batted a .286 ERA, with 21 doubles, six triples, 15 home runs, 87 runs and 25 stolen bases. Herrera also was selected to be on the National League All-Star team. Three people have been arrested in a prostitution sting operation in Bensalem on Thursday. The suspects were caught in the sting operation in a hotel in the Bensalem area. One of the suspects in custody, Chanelle Pugh, was confronted by police in the hotel room during the sting. Police stated that when officers tried to arrest her, she shoved them back and bit one of the officer's hands. Two other men who were caught in the sting. Four Temple University students were robbed in their off campus apartment. The incident happened on the 1900 block of 18th Street after 5 am on Thursday. The victims told police they were asleep in their apartment, and when they woke up in the early morning hours they found a man in a ski mask, carrying a gun, robbing their apartment. The Flyers have now extended their win streak to 10 games, making this the longest winning streak since 1985. The Flyers took on the Colorado Avalanche Wednesday night in what turned out to be a tough and very close game. The Flyers were down, in the first two periods, but managed to come back with two goals by Roman Lyubimov and Brayden Schenn in the third period.
