The Flyers have now extended their win streak to 10 games, making this the longest winning streak since 1985. The Flyers took on the Colorado Avalanche Wednesday night in what turned out to be a tough and very close game. Pennsylvania's Department of Transportation has announced that it will be getting rid of renewal stickers for license plates. The department stated that getting rid of the renewal stickers will save around $3 million a year because they won't have to produce or mail the stickers. This will go into effect at the end of December. Motorists must still have their vehicles inspected and have proper registration cards when asked by police. A Code Blue has now been issued for Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks counties due to the frigid temperatures that we will be facing over the next couple of days. Philadelphia's Office of Homeless Services has declared its second code blue of the winter season, which is effective Wednesday at 6 pm through next Wednesday, December 21st at 6 am. It has now been 174 days since the Sixers signed Ben Simmons, the No. 1 overall draft pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. Simmons got some playing time over the summer on the Sixers summer league team, but has yet to put on the uniform for an official game due to fracture in his right foot he sustained on the last day of training camp. Police are now investigating a double shooting that took place in the Frankford section of Philadelphia Tuesday night. The shooting took place on the 5000 block of Frankford Avenue at around 7:30 pm. Police arrived on scene to find a man in his 30's shot in the back and chest, he was taken to Aria Health Torresdale where he was later pronounced dead. Philadelphia Police are now searching for a woman who held up a Wawa in Rhawnhurst. The incident took place Sunday at the Wawa on the 8000 block of Roosevelt Boulevard at around 10 am. Police say that the woman walked up to the register, and told the cashier to hand over the money or she would start to shoot. The cashier handed over the money and the woman fled the scene. Luckily no one was injured in the robbery, and police are still searching for the suspect.

Sources have now stated that Temple will pick the University of Florida's defensive coordinator Geoff Collins as their new head football coach. After Matt Rhule left the Owls last week to coach at Baylor, Temple has been looking through potential candidates for the head coach position. Police are now investigating after a shooting occurred in the Olney section of Philadelphia on Monday. The incident happened on the 5900 block of North 3rd Street at around 5:15 pm. Police say that two men were sitting in their car when someone shot both of them. The victims are a 42-year-old man who was shot in the left arm, and a 41-year-old man who suffered a graze wound to the left wrist. A suspect was killed during a confrontation with a U.S. Marshal in Northeast Philadelphia Monday. The shooting happened on the 1300 block of Hellerman Street at around 10:20 am. The U.S. Marshal was serving a warrant to a suspect for a shooting that took place in July in Philadelphia. Officials say that the suspect drew a weapon out on the marshal, and the marshal pulled out his gun and shot him, killing the suspect. The suspect's weapon was recovered at the scene. The Eagles sideline was heated on Sunday afternoon after Redskin's safety Deshazor Everett laid a brutal hit on a defenseless Darren Sproles early in the fourth quarter. With just 12 minutes left in the quarter, Sproles was sprinting up field to catch a Redskin's punt. While Sproles was tracking the ball in the air, Everett full on tackled Sproles.
