Philadelphia Police responded after a large suspicious container was found on the highway in North Philadelphia on Sunday. The container was found on the 2000 block of West York Street. Police say when they arrived on the scene, they found the container which smelled of gasoline and had an object on it that looked like a firecracker. Upper Darby Police are now investigating after a woman was attacked and killed by her own dog in Upper Macungie Township. The incident took place on Spring White Drive on Thursday at 1:30 pm. Police say that the woman was attacked by her dog on the rear deck of her home. Once crews arrived on the scene the woman was taken to Lehigh Valley Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead. An anonymous donor has now contacted the family of the 10-year-old child whose wheelchair was stolen outside of their home on Tuesday morning. On Wednesday morning, an anonymous caller contacted Mr. Wheelchair, a store in Holmesburg, and told the technician there that she wanted to purchase a new wheelchair for the boy. The incident took place on the 5300 block Lindbergh Boulevard in Southwest Philadelphia at around 7 am on Monday. SEPTA has now begun its new modified Regional Rail schedule that went into effect starting on Sunday. SEPTA officials have stated that the new schedule will focus on adjusting the service and time of weekday and weekend trains. Philadelphia Police reported on Tuesday night that a woman was struck by a police cruiser while it was in pursuit of a suspect in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. The incident took place on F Street near Kensington Avenue at around 5 pm. The incident took place at a Popeye's restaurant on the 3100 block of West Cheltenham Avenue. Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a woman was shot and killed in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. The incident took place on the 700 block of East Hilton Street at around 1 am on Sunday. Police officers arrived on the scene to find a 24-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the chest She was rushed to Temple University Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
