Disgraceful. That was the word Philadelphia City Council heard Thursday from former Fire Commissioner Roger Ulshafer to describe emergency management at the Kensington warehouse fire in April that killed two firefighters. City Council is probing to determine if proper safety controls were in place during the 5 alarm blaze.

Samantha Pawlucy has decided to change schools. She made national headlines over the treatment she got for wearing a Mitt Romney shirt to school. She returned to Charles Carroll High School on Tuesday but once inside the building, she claims students threatened her and made her feel uncomfortable. The school district will assist her with a transfer to a charter or parochial school.

More than a million dollars in heroin was recovered from a row home in Northeast Philadelphia. Agents raided the house on McKinley Street and found the drugs, and materials used to prepare it for street sale, including a quantity of horse tranquilizers used to stretch the street mix. Samantha Pawlucy returned to school this morning among a large throng of supporters. The high school sophomore was ridiculed by a teacher 2 weeks ago for wearing a Mitt Romney for President t-shirt to school. Veterans groups and other supporters say she had her first amendment rights trampled. The Philadelphia School District calls the incident "Disruptive and hurtful."

A clash between wedding parties in Society Hill ended with one man dead and several in jail. The fight started between two brothers in the lobby of the Sheraton about 2 am Sunday and according to wedding guests a thrown object struck someone else and mayhem ensued. The 57 year old uncle of one of the brides suffered a heart attack and died. Several wedding guests ended up in the emergency room and three in jail.

Three teachers, the Principal and Vice Principal of Triton High School in Runnemede New Jersey have turned themselves into police for having improper sexual relationships with students. Investigators say the three teachers had sex with students and the administrators attempted to cover it up. A high school sophomore in Philadelphia was ridiculed by her teacher for wearing a pink Mitt Romney for President t-shirt. Samantha Pawlucy says her geometry teacher at Charles Carroll High School in Port Richmond publicly humiliated her inside and outside the classroom in the hallway and was told to change the shirt because Carroll is a Democrat school. The teacher likened wearing the shirt to wearing a white KKK sheet. The school district is investigating.
