The Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine, New Jersey is treating Loggerhead Sea Turtle after a run in with a boat propeller. Staff there rescued the 140 lb. female Thursday near the Oyster Creek Nuclear plant, after it was apparently injured by a boat propeller. The female loggerhead had been spotted on the intake pipe of the plant and a worker pushed the turtle back into the water, but she kept coming back up to rest. Labor Day weekend is coming and that means the annual Made in America concert in Philadelphia. Road closures for the event - Saturday, Sept. 3 and Sunday, Sept. 4 - on the Ben Franklin Parkway are already underway and will continue through Tuesday, Sept. 6. A $6,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever shot an 8-year-old girl. The girl remains in critical condition at Cooper University Hospital. The little girl was hit by a stray bullet in the head during a shootout Wednesday night. Police say there was a target but it wasn't her. The death toll from the earthquakes in Italy has more than tripled since yesterday. More the 240 people are now confirmed dead. Rescue crews aided by sniffer dogs are digging through crumbled homes looking for survivors of the magnitude 6 quake that struck at 3:36 a.m. Wednesday. A strong earthquake in central Italy reduced three towns to rubble as people slept early Wednesday, with reports that as many as 75 people were killed and hundreds injured as rescue crews raced to dig out survivors. The Rio Olympics are over and athletes are heading home. Philadelphia's own track and field athlete Nia Ali got a triumphant welcome at Philadelphia International Airport at about 2am. Ali earned silver in the 100-meter hurdles, while teammate Brianna Rollins got gold and Kristi Castlin took bronze. That gave the U.S. its first sweep in the event. Philadelphia area retailers have moved quickly to capitalize on the new liquor reform laws recently passed in Pennsylvania. The new law, effective August. 8, means approved grocery stores, restaurants and hotels can now sell up to four bottles of wine per customer for takeout. The day the law went into effect, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board began accepting requests for various new licenses and permits allowed under the new legislation.
