Philadelphia Police are questioning a member of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets in connection with an alleged sexual assault that occurred early this morning in a hotel where team members are staying. An ambulance picked up a woman at the Four Seasons Hotel at about 4 am and took her to a hospital. According to Nets GM, Billy King, he is aware of the investigation but all players were available for tonight’s game against the 76ers.

The Mayor's office and the F.O.P. are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to a pair of tire slashers. 59 cars had their tires slashed in West Philadelphia and the police have surveillance video showing a man and woman casually walking down the street, stopping to slash tires along the way. Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia Police.

Police in are investigating reports of 46 cars having their tires slashed in West Philadelphia. So far, 46 car owners have reported the vandalism that happened overnight on the 4900 to 5100 block of Hazel Avenue and on the 5300 block of Chancellor Street in West Philly. An 11 year old Bucks County girl is petitioning the Catholic Youth Organization in Philadelphia to allow her to play football. Caroline Pla has been playing football since she was 5 and had been on the Roman’s squad who was unaware of the “no girls allowed” rule. With the support of her mom and about 7,000 others, the CYO has decided to review the policy.

Kansas City, here he comes. Andy Reid appears to be finishing up the final paperwork to be the next head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs fired their Coach Monday and later their General Manager clearing the way for Andy to name his own GM. Look for Reid to bring some of his favorite assistant coaches from the Eagles too, like Juan Castillo and Doug Pederson. The Kansas City Chiefs lost more games than the Eagles this year, finishing with a 2-14 record.

Congress votes today to approve a $9.7 billion bill to help victims of Hurricane Sandy. The money will replenish the National Flood Insurance Program. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie publicly criticized House Speaker John Boehner and Congress for postponing the vote so long. The vote on the remainder of the $60 billion relief bill has been put off until January 15th.

A Delaware based National Guard unit is preparing to head for Afghanistan to train national security forces there. 120 members of the unit from Dealaware City will do a 12 month tour of duty relieving Montana's 44th Military Police Company in the training of Afghans in security operations. Governor Jack Markell and Jill Biden were on hand for the send-off ceremonies today.

Police in Limerick Township sent out a warning last night for parents to be on the lookout for candy that contains marijuana. In "weed candy", pot is ground very fine and mixed with a sugary glucose liquid which hardens into candy. Parents should be suspicious of unwrapped or rewrapped candy.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie said last night's Congressional hearing was "disgusting to watch." That's because the $60 billion in disaster relief for victims of Hurricane Sandy got put on hold in favor of the 11 hour debate about the "fiscal cliff." Late this afternoon word came that Speaker John Boehner scheduled a vote on $9 billion in flood insurance for Friday and the remainder by the 15th.

Congress worked late into the night and resolved a piece of the fiscal cliff rescue line. 99% of us will not see our income taxes rise today. Congress agreed to limit tax increases to those earning over $400,000. Still to be resolved are program cuts, which Congress agreed to put off for a couple months.
