Police are gathering evidence after two people used a bomb to blow up an ATM in Hunting Park. Surveillance video shows two people approach the machine at 6th and Luzerne streets and then running away. Seconds later the machine exploded sending pieces of it flying 100 feet away. Fortunately, no one was injured and police report that no money was missing from the device.

Philadelphia Police and the FBI have now released photos of the suspect involved in a robbery in Old City this morning. at the TD Bank at 399 Market Street just before 8 am. The male suspect entered the bank and presented a threatening demand note to the teller. He obtained an undisclosed amount of cash, which he then placed into a dark colored shoulder bag before fleeing the bank on foot in an unknown direction. Indego Bicycle Riders on I-676; Bank Robber Arrested; Dow Moving from Center City

After two bicyclists (pictured) were photographed riding rented Indego bikes on I-676 this week, there is discussion about signage at entrance ramps. The two likely ended up on the busy highway by mistake. The two helmetless riders probably entered 676 West at 8th street, confusing the two lanes there where one is for local traffic into Chinatown and the other dumps straight onto the highway.

Woman Killed by SEPTA Train; Gov Wolf Tax Plan Resistance; Sex With Horse Attempt Foiled

A woman was fatally struck by a SEPTA train in Montgomery County this morning. SEPTA said the woman died after she was hit by an inbound Lansdale/Doylestown Line train just before 6 a.m. The woman was struck between the North Wales and Gwynedd Valley stations. It's not yet known why the woman was in the track area. McNabb Suspended Indefinitely; NAACP Convention Opens; Gathering for Fired Gay Teacher

According to Sports Illustrated, Donovan McNabb has been suspended indefinitely from his job at Fox Sports. McNabb's suspension comes on the heels of him being arrested back on June 28 for driving under the influence of alcohol in Arizona. It was the second time in 18 months the former Pro Bowler was arrested for the offense. The first arrest was back in Dec. 15, 2013. He eventually served one day in jail in April of 2014 after pleading guilty.

Democratic mayoral hopeful Jim Kenney has commented on the firing of a same-sex marriage faculty member at Waldron-Mercy Academy. Margie Winters was fired by the school after a dispute over curriculum. Kenney contends "cowardly men" at the Archdiocese made the call. Spokesman for the Archdiocese, Ken Gavin says the personnel decision was made by Waldron, not the Archdiocese.

Parents gathered to discuss the firing in June of an openly gay teacher at Waldron-Mercy Academy in Merion, PA. Margie Winters, the respected Director of Religious Education was dismissed for being in a same-sex marriage, something she told administrators about when she was hired in 2007. Principal Neil Stetser notified parents that Winters contract would not be renewed after some disagreement over curriculum for next year.

An independent arbitrator has ordered the School District of Philadelphia to restore a full-time counselor to every school and to give back pay to laid-off counselors who should have been recalled based on seniority. The ruling says the district violated its contract with the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers when it failed to recall laid-off counselors in seniority order. If upheld, the ruling will cost the cash-strapped schools millions of dollars.

Bill Cosby testified during a 2005 lawsuit deposition that he gave a 19 year old Quaaludes then had consensual sex with her. The 77 year old actor and comedian said at that time he acquired powerful sedatives to give to women he wanted to have sex with. Now outside the statute of limitations, attorneys for Cosby's more recent accusers are demanding apologies from Cosby for calling alleged victims "liars."

The U.S. is World Champion. The US Women's Soccer team defeated Japan last night 5-2 behind a record performance by Delran, New Jersey's Carli Lloyd who scored 3 goals in the game's first 16 minutes. Her third goal was a spectacular chip shot from the halfway line that flew over the stranded Japanese goalkeeper who ventured too far out from the goal.
