One of the men sought in connection with the terrorist attack in Paris yesterday has turned himself in. Two French brothers Said and Cherif Kouachi are still at large and were reported to be about 100 miles north of Paris. They are believed to be tied to al-Qaida and wanted in the military-style, methodical killing of 12 people at the office of a satirical newspaper that caricatured the Prophet Muhammad.

In Paris France this morning, terrorists killed 12 people with assault rifles and wounded 4 others at Charlie Hebdo, a satirical French magazine that has produced comics and published cartoons of the Muslim Prophet Muhammad. In what is described as an organized attack, three masked gunman broke into the magazine's offices and opened fire with assault rifles. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is being questioned by ethicists about gifts from Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones that include game tickets for Christie and his family, private jet transportation and more. According to New Jersey rules, the governor is allowed to accept gifts from friends in the private sector. A man with a gun fired a shot through the front door of Toys R Us in Port Richmond on Aramingo Avenue this morning. The incident happened about 6:30 this morning after employees in the store refused to let the man in. Police believe it was an attempted robbery. The suspect then fired a gunshot into the store’s glass front door and fled. No one inside the store was hurt. Police are reviewing surveillance video to identify the suspect.

The 115th annual Mummers Parade kept the New Year's Day tradition alive in Philadelphia. In an event that is unique to Philadelphia, string bands, comics and other costumed, feathered performers danced all day to ring in the new year. Some traditionalists were unhappy with the change in the parade route. This year, the Mummers parade started at City Hall and moved south instead of ending at City Hall after moving north. About a million people converged on Times Square in New York to ring in 2015. Temperatures were in the 20's as the ball dropped followed by a ton of confetti for the Happy New Year celebration. Things did no go as well at a New Year celebration in Shanghai. Thirty-five people were killed in a stampede at the city’s popular riverfront Bund area. Officials say another 43 people were injured amid the chaos about a half hour before midnight.

A Clifton Heights man was shot and killed by police in Drexel Hill on Tuesday afternoon after police tried to serve a warrant for terroristic threats. 52-year-old Joseph Pacini had been making threats on social media to kill police and FBI officials. Police officers pulled him over and boxed him in. The identity of the boy killed by a police cruiser has been revealed. He is 10 year old Matthew McCloskey who was struck and fatally injured by police cruiser responding to a call in Franklin Township, Gloucester County Sunday. Still no word from the police department on whether the police car's lights and sirens were on at the time of the incident. Matthew was killed crossing Delsea Drive on his way to a friend’s house for a sleepover.

This has been a tragic year for air travel in Southeast Asia. Yesterday, things got worse when an AirAsia plane carrying 162 people disappeared over stormy Indonesian waters. There is no word on its fate despite several hours of searching by air and sea. There have been preliminary reports of debris spotted. A Christmas baby was born yesterday on board a SEPTA train. Two transit Police officers delivered a baby when mom went into labor and firefighters carried the newborn baby boy up the steps and to a waiting ambulance at 15th and Market Streets in Center City. The two officers heard the call over their radios and rushed to help with the delivery.
