Early in his career, Dick Clark was a disc jockey on Philadelphia radio station WFIL and skyrocketed to stardom when he became the full time host of the Philadelphia based TV show Bandstand in 1952. Dick Clark, the former WFIL-AM Philadelphia disc jockey and host of television's Bandstand, has died at the age of 82 of a heart attack. Philadelphia is flirting with record warmth today pushing toward 90 degrees. The record high in Philadelphia was 90 degrees, set in 1992. You may need the AC tonight. The low overnight only cools down to 66.

More closures were announced this weekend by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. By July 1st 12 parishes will be merged into 5. Many of the buildings will remain open during a transition period for weddings, funerals and other special services.

The cause of the Kensington warehouse fire may take weeks to uncover. The warehouse owners, the Lichtenstein brothers from Brooklyn, own 30 properties in Philadelphia under the names YML Realty or YML Housing. Tax records show the owe Philadelphia $385,000 in back taxes.
