Three people pleaded guilty in a human trafficking, assault and torture case in Philadelphia. Michael and Tamara Rhoades lured victims to their North Philadelphia home, and then, along with Steven Mills, took part in sadistic abuse of young women. Victims were lured to the home for a sexual relationship, and then the defendants started stealing the women’s money, work, social security and college aid checks all while threatening and beating the women to prevent them from leaving.

A former Radnor Boy Scout leader has been arrested on child pornography charges and Radnor Police want to know if there are any possible victims out there. Forty seven year old Garrett Conover, now living in Swedesboro New Jersey was an active scout master of Radnor Troop 284 from 1991 to 2001. The Conover case is related to a larger one involving 150 child victims and 45 arrests so far.

A Philadelphia man is being investigated for suspected involvement with war crimes in Germany. The Associated Press reported that 87 year old Johann Breyer was a guard at Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. Breyer claims he was stationed outside the camp and had no part in the slaughter of Jews at the prison.

Last night, the skies over the Benjamin Franklin Parkway were crisscrossed by 24 beams of light responding to hundreds of recorded voice messages. "Open Air" is an interactive light exhibit that will take place nightly through mid-October. The light show can be seen for 10 miles around the city. Governor Tom Corbett was in Philadelphia for a Town Hall meeting yesterday at the Museum of Art. The meeting was scheduled to last 90 minutes but was cut short due to frequent interruptions from protesters yelling from the audience. NFL Films President and Sports broadcasting pioneer Steve Sabol has died after an 18 month battle with brain cancer. Sabol and his father started NFL Films in 1962 working out of a small office at 13th and Vine in Philadelphia. Sabol was 69 years old.

A fire has taken the homes of more than two dozen people in Coatesville. The three alarm blaze started around 1 o'clock this morning. Firefighters rescued over 30 men, women and children, many from the roof of the row homes. A mother and her young child were killed in the fire.

An SUV collided with a street trolley on Girard Avenue in Kensington early this morning, knocking the trolley off its tracks. The vehicle rear ended the trolley at a high rate of speed near 6th and Girard. Two passengers in the SUV fled the scene. The driver is in stable condition at Hahnemann University Hospital.
