Speed Sensors Trigger Light on Kelly Drive, Cira Center Pong Game a Guinness Record

Motorists who drive too fast on Kelly Drive will now trigger the red light at Fountain Green. The city has installed sensors in the road in hopes of slowing traffic down from its average 55 mph, to the actual speed limit, 35 mph. The speed sensors are about a half mile north of the Girard Avenue Bridge. Previously, the light would only turn red if a car was waiting to turn onto Kelly Drive or a pedestrian pushed the crosswalk button.

After 10 straight losses at home, the Philadelphia Eagles got a win, sweeping the Redskins this season with a 24-16 victory. The Eagles are now in first place in the division going into the bye week and their offensive machine is working, gaining over 400 yards for the ninth time this season – a franchise record.

OSHA Declares Collapse Preventable, Obama Fundraiser in Philadelphia

Federal officials declared the deadly building collapse in Philadelphia this summer "preventable." Yesterday they pointed to a string of failures in the planning and execution of the demolition triggering the disaster that claimed six lives. OSHA cited owners of two firms for safety violations noting that the project proceeded without an engineering survey.

Lower Merion Breakins Prompt Meeting with Police, Occupy Philadelphia Sues City

There have been over 200 break-ins in Lower Merion Township so far this year. Tonight police will host a meeting for concerned residents to discuss preventive measures. According to Lower Merion police, mornings are the time that many of the break-ins are happening. Bucks County Woman Killed By Cougar, O'Hara Principal Claims Firing Over Physical Advances

A Bucks County family is mourning the loss of Renee Radziwon who was killed by a cougar while working at the Wildcat Haven Sanctuary in Oregon. According to reports, she violated procedure by entering the Cougar area alone. Renee's parents cannot believe their 36 year old daughter who has a husband and 6 month old baby girl, would have put her life in jeopardy.

Down Philadelphia Carriage Horse Lives, Fumo Hospitalized

A carriage horse went down on 8th Street in Philadelphia over the weekend and was pronounced dead on social media by several passers-by who snapped pictures and posted eye-witness accounts to Facebook and Twitter. Fortunately, they were all wrong. It turns out that the 1,800 pound horse named Silver fell after it tripped on a manhole cover. Silver is fine.

No Snitch Site Intimidates Witnesses, Reward Offered in 1993 Murder of Julie Barnyock

Philadelphia Police are investigating a website they believe intimidates witnesses to crimes. The anonymous Instagram account says it's there to "expose rats." Rats215 has posted photos, police statements and testimony of more than 30 witnesses on the photo sharing site since February. Police see it as mass intimidation and makes it more challenging to find people willing to testify.

Governor Tom Corbett is hitting the campaign trail with a multi-day tour of Pennsylvania to raise his profile in his bid for re-election next year.
