A ceremony was held today to mark the second anniversary of the building collapse tragedy that killed six and hurt a dozen more at 22nd and Market Streets. On June 5, 2013 a wall of a building being demolished came crashing down on the adjacent Salvation Army thrift store full of shoppers and employees. The man convicted of killing off-duty Philadelphia police officer Moses Walker Jr. in 2012 during a robbery was sentenced today in court. Rafael Jones was found guilty of first-degree murder by Judge Jeffrey Minehart in a non-jury trial. His accomplice, Chancier McFarland, previously pled guilty.
