The Camden County Police Department was searching Saturday for a 13-year-old boy named Dontae Howard. They say that he was located around midnight Sunday. He went missing from his home in the 1100 block of Kaighn Avenue in the Gateway neighborhood. He is described a black male, 5 feet 5 inches, 100 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. After deliberating for three days, a Philadelphia jury found 25-year-old Kathryn Knott guilty of four misdemeanor counts but acquitted her of any felony charges related to an attack on a gay couple last year in Center City. Knott was found guilty of two counts of reckless endangerment (one for each victim), and one count of simple assault and one count of conspiracy to commit simple assault for one of the victims. A New Jersey state trooper was killed this morning after his cruiser slammed into a telephone police in Salem County. 30-year-old Trooper Eli McCarson was responding to a domestic violence call when his car went off the right side of the road. The front-end was destroyed and the doors were jammed trapping him inside. Rescuers were eventually able to pry open the doors and transport him to Salem Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Kathryn Knott took the stand in her own defense this morning. She is accused of yelling homophobic slurs and punching one of the victims during a fight last year. She testified that after having dinner at a Center City restaurant with a group of friends they began to walk north on 16th Street. Bill Cosby filed suit Monday against seven women who are suing him for defamation. The countersuit filed in U.S. District Court in Springfield, MA, claims the woman have made "malicious, opportunistic, and false and defamatory accusations" of sexual misconduct against him for financial gain. Delaware State Police arrested a man for the fatal stabbing a woman and her elderly mother in Smyrna on Sunday morning. 66-year-old Gilbert E. Rochester of Clayton is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. A mother and father from Delaware have been arrested for the murder of their infant son. 37-year-old Doyle Hundley and 28-year-old Casey Layton of Harbeson are charged with first degree murder and endangering the welfare of a child. The trial for 25-year-old Kathryn Knott in the Center City group attack on a gay couple started today in Philadelphia. Knott is accused of "slinging slurs" and throwing punches when her group of friends encountered a gay couple while out of the town near Rittenhouse Square last year. Knott's lawyer says that his client never touched the victims and that things went bad when one of their female friends was hit and a male friend rushed the victims.
