Heavy rain is expected to continue across the entire Philadelphia region throughout Sunday and overnight with a total of 2 to 3 inches of rain. A Flood Watch is in effect for the area as well, mainstem river flooding is not expected, but you should prepare for minor flooding of prone areas. Record Store Day 2012 is now in the books and after now its 5th it's only getting stronger. It began early this morning outside independent record stores across the area with lines of music lovers waiting for stores to open so they could get their hands on the exclusive and limited releases pressed just for today. Phillies have placed left hander Cliff Lee on the 15-day disabled lee with a strained left oblique. This comes just 3 days after Lee pitched 10 scoreless innings in a pitching duel against Matt Cain of the San Fransisco Giants. The Phillies ended up losing that game 1-0 in 11 innings.

The annual Lyrid meteor shower is expected to peak overnight tonight with the best viewing just before dawn on Sunday. However, here in Philadelphia the forecast is calling for cloudy, rainy skies starting late Saturday afternoon and getting worse through Sunday. If it wasn't for the clouds, the sky would be perfect for viewing since the moon is in the "new" phase and the skies would be dark.

Between 1957 and 1964 Dick Clark hosted Bandstand at the West Philadelphia studios of WFIL-TV, at 46th and Market. On Saturday between noon and 3 the current owners (Enterprise Center) of the nondescript building will open Studio B for those wishing to take a tour. It's fairly well preserved, they say, since establishing an endowment to maintain the Historical Landmark. A $20 contribution to the endowment is being asked for admission.

Levon Helm, singer and drummer for The Band lost his battle with throat cancer today. According to family he passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. As a member of The Band, Helm was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and also received the Grammys' lifetime achievement award. The University of Pennsylvania is joining several other top universities, including Princeton and Stanford, in offering courses for free online. Starting this June, Penn will begin to offer twelve courses in various subjects including calculus, neurology, and Greek and Roman mythology. The courses will not earn you credit toward a degree, but you still get full benefit of the education, which is priceless and of course free.

Former Phillie, Souderton, PA native, and St. Joe's alum, Jamie Moyer, entered the record books tonight. Defying all the odds, Moyer, 49, has become the oldest pitcher to ever record a win in Major League Baseball. Born November 18, 1962, he is now 49 and 150 days on Tuesday. Brooklyn's Jack Quinn was 49 and 70 days old when he won on Sept. 13, 1932.

27 people in New Jersey have been arrested in association with a child pornography ring, New Jersey State Police announced today. A three month long investigation and 5 day long sweep called "Operation Watchdog" rounded up the suspects in twenty-six towns all across the state, half of them in South Jersey between April 9th and April 13th.
