Hurricane Sandy continues up the East Coast, now located off the coast of North Carolina with winds of 75 mph as of Sunday afternoon. All models are in tight agreement that it will make a sharp left once it gets off shore of our area. The models now point to a landfall in New Jersey near Atlantic City. Hurricane Sandy continues to churn up the East Coast, located off the coast of South Carolina with winds of 75 mph as of Saturday night. The models now point to a landfall in New Jersey, instead of Delaware Bay as earlier predictions said. The exact track could shift; there are still a couple days ahead of us and things could change, stay tuned.

Hurricane Sandy "Frankenstorm" has Philadelphia in her sights; Area Emergency Management Gears Up

Hurricane Sandy is slowly chugging up the East Coast and all models suggest it is getting ready to hang a sharp left once it gets off shore of our area. Currently it looks as if it will make landfall in the Delaware Bay, instead of a direct hit on the Jersey Shore, however that track would expose NJ to the northern side of the storm and its onshore winds and storm surge. However, the exact track could shift north; there are still a few days ahead of us and things could change, stay tuned. Read More

It's still quite a few days away but weather forecasters are already becoming spooked by a potential monster storm right before Halloween next week. Hurricane Sandy is still churning away in the Caribbean but will begin to move up the East Coast over the next few days. Combine that with a cold front with arctic air moving down from Canada and an early winter storm sliding in from out west, there is a high potential for a powerful collision of weather forces. This all has the potential to... Read More

Two years ago Steve Jobs decried the market of small screened (7 inch or so) tablet computers, basically saying that the screen size could not be utilized effectively for making great tablet applications. He cited Apple's own testing that showed how larger 10 inch screen give more space so that our chubby fingers have room to touch things properly on the screen. His other reasons why the 7 inch market would fail had more to do with the specifics of the time and how Android was releasing product... Read More
