After more than 15 hours of deliberations the jury of 6 women in Sanford, FL has found George Zimmerman not guilty in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. The jury had one question and sent the judge a note asking for clarification on the manslaughter charge this afternoon. That seemed to indicate they may have already passed on the more serious charge of second degree murder. The man who was suspected of stealing thousands of dollars by taking the wedding cards after a reception in Montgomery County on Sunday July 7th has surrendered. Joseph Patrick Franzone, Jr., 35, turned himself into a District Justice in Lower Gwynedd Township Friday morning. Police have identified the suspect who they believe crashed a wedding last weekend in Lower Gwynedd, Montgomery County and made off with thousands of dollars worth of wedding gifts. Former Philadelphia Phillie's catcher Darren Daulton has been diagnosed with a glioblastoma, highly malignant form of brain cancer. Daulton went through successful surgery to remove two brain tumors just over a week ago. He has now returned to his Clearwater, FL home to recover before starting treatments for the cancer.

A Philadelphia man has been arrested after leaving his toddler in the car this past weekend while he was inside the casino playing blackjack. Bensalem police found an 18-month old boy inside a Lexus Saturday night in the parking lot of the Parx Casino. His father, 44-year-old Danny Ngo, was inside the casino for about 40 minutes while his young son was outside alone in the car. Jon Bon Jovi joined New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and his wife Mary Pat in Sayerville, NJ this afternoon. The rocker and actor was in town to announce that he was donating $1 million to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund, which is chaired by First Lady Mary Pat Christie. Bon Jovi is a native of Sayerville and also performed during the 12/12/12 Sandy Relief Concert. That money will help residents as they continue to rebuild following last fall's devastating hurricane. A freshly installed road sign has many people looking twice out in Lancaster County. The new sign is along Rt. 222 between Reading and Ephrata. It is supposed to read “322 Ephrata Exit 2 Miles”. Instead the R and A are reversed in the middle of the name. The newly misspelled town name reads E-P-H-A-R-T-A. Which phonetically sounds a bit like flatulence. Anyway, no one in the sign shop nor the installation contractor noticed the mistake. It will take almost $1200 to replace the sign... Read More

A 13-year-old boy is missing and another rescued after going into the Pennypack Creek in Northeast Philadelphia this afternoon. It happened near Winchester and the Roosevelt Boulevard. A group of four boys were playing near the creek, which is running fast due to record rainfall. Two of the boys were able to get out on their own, but an 11-year-old needed to be rescued. His 13-year-old brother never surfaced. Authorities are now treating this as a recovery more than a rescue. Read More

Sarah Murnaghan, the young lung transplant recipient whose parent's challenged the donor rules for children under 12, actually received a second transplant after her first had complications. A judge granted the Murnaghan family a temporary retraining order allowing Sarah on the adult donor list on June 5th. The 10-year-old who suffers from cystic fibrosis received a transplant on June 12th but because of a Primary Graft Failure those lungs had to be removed and Sarah was put on a bypass...
