A man was arrested this morning after throwing eggs at the statue of former Mayor Frank Rizzo in Center City Philadelphia. It happened in broad daylight around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday. The statue is located out front of the Municipal Services Building across from City Hall. The incident was caught on camera. The man was chased down by police officers and placed into custody. They were reported missing on Monday, August 14th by a family member. 40-year-old Raymond Reasoner III and his two children, 1-year-old Raegan and 3-year-old Raymond IV, were last seen at their Church Street home in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township. Philadelphia Police are asking the public's help in identifying a person wanted for urinating by the front doors of a synagogue in Northeast Philadelphia. The incident was captured on surveillance camera. It happened at 12:30 a.m. Sunday at the Congregation Beth Solomon at 198 Tomlinson Road in the city's Somerton section. A woman who was killed this weekend in Charlottesville, VA, amidst the clash between counter-protestors and white nationalists on Saturday has been identified. 32-year-old Heather Heyer was crossing the street with a group of peaceful counter-protestors when a silver Dodge Challenger drove into the crowd, smashed into a car, and then backed up through the crowd (see video below). Philadelphia Police have released surveillance photos of a suspect and vehicle wanted for a deadly hit-and-run in Center City last Sunday. It happened around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, August 6th near Broad and Race Streets. 53-year-old Ann Broderick, a homeless woman, was struck by a white four-door Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with black fenders. Each August as the Earth's annual orbit takes it through the remains of the comet Swift-Tuttle/109P, we are treated to a dramatic show of meteors streaking through the sky called the Perseids. Named because they seem to radiate from the constellation Perseus, this meteor shower will peak tonight Friday August 11th through Saturday August 12th.
