Police in New Castle County, Delaware, have arrested and charged a man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl last month. 23-year-old Daniel Santucci Jr. of Wilmington is charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree kidnapping, unlawful sexual contact with a person under 13 and possession of child pornography. Philadelphia's historic Metropolitan Opera House on North Broad Street is officially set to be restored and renovated as a live music venue. Developer Eric Blumenfeld, who is bringing the nearby Divine Lorraine Hotel back to life, has partnered with concert promoter Live Nation to refurbish the block-long building at Broad and Poplar for $45 million. Construction is slated to start in June and it should be ready to open by the end of 2018.

Thousands came out on a rainy Friday morning to pay their respects to fallen Delaware State Trooper Cpl. Stephen Ballard. Friends, family, and law enforcement officers from across the country attended services at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, DE. A memorial service will be held for Cpl. Stephen Ballard of the Delaware State Troopers who was shot and killed in the line of duty last week. It will take place at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, DE. Public visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. The service will be held at 11 a.m. There will be highway closures affecting I-95 on Friday morning.

Four female students have been arrested and eight teachers were injured following a fight at Cheltenham High School in Montgomery County yesterday. A teacher was struck and injured during a fight caught on video in Cheltenham High School this morning. The fight began between two students at 7:30 a.m. Two more students then joined the fight.
