A SEPTA bus stopped short of going over a wall and into a creek after it had already left the highway in Montgomery County on Sunday, 1/19. It happened on the off ramp from the Schuykill Expressway (I-76) at Gulph Mills. The bus went off the road way and down an embankment. Luckily, it came to a rest before the top of a retaining wall. Three young people were shot and critically injured in the Belmont section of Philadelphia on Saturday evening, 1/18. It happened just before 8 p.m. on the 800 block of North 41st Street. A 24-year-old man was shot twice in the head and once in the chest. A 19-year-old man was shot once in the back. A 17-year-old boy was shot once in the chest and once in the thigh. All three were taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition. No arrests have been made.

Philadelphia Police have identified the body of a women found in the basement of a South Philly home on Thursday evening, 1/16. It happened on the 2100 block of Porter Street in South Philly. The sheriff's department went to the residence to serve a robbery warrant on a female. The Special Victim's Unit also was on the scene investigating a case of human trafficking. A 17-year-old has been charged in the deaths of his foster mother and a man who had recently been reported missing. Xavier Johnson is charged with the stabbing death of 64-year-old Renee Gilyard and 20-year-old Jimmy Mao, in separate incidents.
