The District Attorney's office said today that they will drop charges against Aida Guzman, the woman punched by Philadelphia Lt. Jonathan Josey last weekend. Guzman, 39, was cited for disorderly conduct after police thought she threw some kind of liquid at them during a street celebration following the Puerto Rican Day parade. Dave Grohl told fans at the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park, New York City on Saturday, September 29th that he didn't know when the band would play together again, but that they were going to be taking a break for a while.

Dave Matthews Band just announced their 2012 Winter Tour. They'll hit the road in support of their brand new album Away From The World which is currently #1 in the US! The East Coast tour starts November 30th and finishes December 22nd right here in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center. Tickets go on sale to the public on October 19th.

A Commonwealth Court judge issued a temporary injunction today against the controversial Voter ID law. The injunction will prevent the full law from going into effect for the upcoming election. Registered voters will not be required to have a valid ID in order to fill out a ballot on election day Nov. 6. Judge Robert Simpson did not find a problem with asking voters for ID, but felt that having those without ID fill out provisional ballots could lead to disenfranchisement. The law was upheld,... Registered voters will not have to present the identification listed in the controversial law in order to cast a ballot on Nov. 6. Judge Robert E. Philadephia Police opened an internal affairs investigation this morning after video of an officer punching a woman in the face surfaced. The incident occurred during a street party after the Puerto Rican Day parade. The video shows the officer, Lt. Jonathan Josey, a 19-year veteran, striking the woman as she walks away from a group of officers on the street. A crowd of almost 10,000 gathered on Independence Mall today during the two day “America For Jesus” rally, a national prayer gathering. Televangelist Pat Robertson, founder of the 700 Club, addressed the crowd and led them in prayer. The event was organized by One Nation under God, a non-partisan coalition of ministries. Haverford Music Festival took place September 15th at Darby and Eagle Roads in Havertown. Nearly 15,000 people attended the festival which was spread out over 3 stages of music. Chase Utley will not be playing third base this year. The Phillies were contemplating using these last few games to experiment with the All-Star second basemen by switching defensive positions to third base, but have decided to put that idea on hold.
