33-year-old Philadelphia Police officer Jesse Hartnett was shot 3 times in the left arm while sitting in his patrol car at 60th and Spruce Street in West Philadelphia around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night. (see video below) 30-year-old Edward Archer of Yeadon ambushed the officer, firing 11 shots from a 9mm hand gun up to point blank range. The suspect in last night's ambush shooting of a Philadelphia Police officer in West Philadelphia has confessed to the crime. 30-year-old Edward Archer of Yeadon attacked 33-year-old Officer Jesse Hartnett while he was sitting in his patrol car at 60th and Spruce Streets around 11:30 p.m. Thursday. Upper Darby police shot and killed a man outside of his apartment on Tuesday night during a violent confrontation. Police responded to a call at the Bishop Hill Apartments located at 151 E. The body of a missing autistic boy was found in a canal this afternoon. 5-year-old Jayliel Vega ran from a relative's home during a New Year's Eve party on Thursday evening.
