Philadelphia Wide Receiver Riley Cooper has been excused from all team activities as he undergoes counseling and sensitivity training. He will meet with professionals recommended by the Eagle's organization. Riley has apologized to fans, family, friends, coaches, and teammates following the release of a video showing him using a racial slur at a concert in June. Former Philadelphia Phillies' relief pitcher Brad Lidge is back in town tonight to officially retire from MLB as a member of the Phillies. He was honored before tonight's game and threw out the first pitch to a familiar face, Phils' catcher Carlos Ruiz. The non-waiver trade deadline for Major League baseball came and and went this afternoon at 4pm. The Philadelphia Phillies and General Manager Ruben Amaro Jr did not make any moves. Despite weeks of talk leading up to deadline about what the team should, could, might do there was nothing in the end. After over a month, the reward has been raised for information on the death of a Gloucester Township woman. The reward now stands at $20,000 to help authorities figure out how 59-year-old Carol Reiff died. Reiff's body was found in a wooded area near her home in the Lakeview Apartments four days after she was reported missing. Investigators have not determined a cause of death but are treating the case as a homocide. Reiff's employer, Admiral Insurance Company, added $9000 to the fund.... Read More |

A natural gas explosion rocked a South Philadelphia neighborhood at around 11 this morning. The row house at 428 Daly Street was completely collapsed and the two neighboring homes were also damaged. A total of 8 people were injured; 4 adults infant, 2 children, and an infant. Seven were taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and one was taken to Temple University Hospital. The house was vacant and was undergoing renovations. IT was a permitted construction site.

The body of a teenager was discovered today in the Neshaminy Creek as crews still look for two boys who went missing while swimming Tuesday night. Investigators have confirmed that the body is 18-year-old Dan Tadrzynski. His companion, 19-year-old Perry Krewson, is still missing. Krewson's uncle discovered the body in the water while on a kayak near East Bristol Road and Grove Avenue before noon and called 911. The search continues for the second teenager.
